Zouk hair flicking lead and follow techniques are a part of what makes this dance so unique. It is also probably the most challenging aspect of zouk for novice and experienced dancers alike.
This workshop will cover the basics of hair flicking technique for both followers and leaders. A beginner to intermediate level of zouk will be required for participants to make the most of this valuable workshop.

In this class we will be covering what i believe are 4 power moves on 4 levels
air: 1990′s
mid high: swipes
mid low: flares
ground: windmills
these 4 power moves are the key to putting together a proper power move set that will cover all 4 levels.
if you are a beginner this class will teach you the progression to each move.
if you are more experienced this class will teach you how to combine and transition between each of them or even teach you different variations of those power moves listed.

A mastery of Hip-Hop dance skills come together on the theatre stage, to tell the story of a man’s venture to find his place in society.
It’s about the lead character ‘Lucky’: boy turns into man via the struggles of long-term unemployment and the tests of character you must pass, to overcome just another one of life’s hurdles.
Set in the suburbs of Melbourne, based on an article titled ‘State feeling the sting of job losses’, artistic director L. MJ Garduce and her talented cast explores the issues of the effects of the past economic crisis, unemployment and homelessness. The show brings light to what we as the viewers might feel, and how we respond and stereotype those who have nothing but the street at their feet.
Prepare to be lifted! See and FEEL Hip-Hop at its best storytelling on stage!
